XVth International Symposium on Spermatology 2026


The International Society of Andrology is pleased to highlight the XVth International Symposium on Spermatology (ISS XV), taking place at the University of Birmingham, UK, from 29th July – 2nd August 2026.




Founded in 1969, the International Symposium on Spermatology is one of the field's most established international gatherings, bringing together scientists from across disciplines — human, mammalian, agricultural, plant and marine research — united by a shared interest in sperm biology and function. ISS XV promises to be no different, with a world-class programme of keynote lectures, short oral presentations, and poster sessions.


Scientific Programme

The four-day scientific programme covers the breadth of the field:

  • Thursday 30th July — Spermatogenesis and Genetics

  • Friday 31st July — Ejaculation, Delivery and the Fertilisation Environment

  • Saturday 1st August — Sperm Function: To the Oocyte and Beyond

  • Sunday 2nd August — Sperm: Tiny Cell – Big Picture


Organising Committee

ISS XV is led by Prof. Jackson Kirkman-Brown MBE (Chair), Dr. Meurig Gallagher (Co-Chair), and Dr. Aileen Delaney.


Key Dates

  • ⚠️ Abstract Submission Deadline: 30th April 2026 

  • Standard Registration: 1st April – 31st May 2026

  • Late Registration: 1st June – 5th July 2026
