ISA President Dr. Csilla Krausz Honored with Prestigious “Women in Andrology” Award

American Society of Andrology recognizes Dr. Krausz at its Annual Meeting for outstanding contributions to the field

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA — Dr. Csilla Krausz, President of the International Society of Andrology (ISA), was presented with the distinguished “Women in Andrology” Award by the American Society of Andrology (ASA) at the organization’s Annual Meeting in Scottsdale, Arizona, on April 20, 2026. The award recognizes exceptional leadership, scientific achievement, and lasting contributions to the discipline of andrology by a woman in the field.



The “Women in Andrology” Award celebrates the vital role women play in advancing reproductive medicine and male health research. Dr. Krausz’s selection reflects her remarkable career dedicated to understanding the genetic and molecular basis of male infertility, as well as her tireless advocacy for collaborative, international research.


Dr. Krausz was elected ISA President in 2025, bringing international leadership and a renewed focus on scientific excellence and diversity within the andrology community. She is a Professor of Genetics at the University of Florence and has authored over 200 peer-reviewed publications. Her groundbreaking work on Y chromosome microdeletions and their impact on spermatogenesis has been instrumental in shaping clinical practice for the diagnosis and management of male infertility.


The ASA Annual Meeting brings together leading researchers, clinicians, and scientists from across the globe to share advances in male reproductive health and andrology. This year’s event, held April 18–20, 2026, featured sessions on cutting-edge topics including male infertility genomics, hormonal therapies, and emerging technologies in reproductive medicine.
