Premature ejaculation is one of the most prevalent sexual dysfunctions, as well as one of the most recently defined. The Italian Society of Andrology and Sexual Medicine (SIAMS) has just published a new set of guidelines, consisting of 33 recommendations on the diagnosis and management of premature ejaculation. The present guidelines offer thorough insight on the comorbidities which should be investigated before suggesting treatments, as well as a detailed list of on-label and off-label therapies available. All recommendations are supported by well-detailed evidence and remarks.
